The Workshop
The Exhilaration workshop is an interactive program that explores the relationship of poetry and music with
pianist and composer Gregg Kallor. Based on Kallor's acclaimed song-settings of poems by
Emily Dickinson, William Butler Yeats, and Christina Rossetti, the workshop offers a unique opportunity to experience
these poems from a musical perspective through a combination of discussion and live performance.
The Concert
In addition to the workshop, the Exhilaration residency features a full concert open to the entire
student community. The concert program celebrates some of the greatest poets of the English language in exciting
new settings by contemporary composers, including Gregg Kallor's complete song-cycles of poems by Emily Dickinson
and William Butler Yeats.

This program is designed to either stand alone or compliment an existing course in poetry, English literature, American studies, music performance, and composition. Please inquire about suggestions for integrating the workshop into your curriculum.
